Welcome to the Emergency 2.0 Wiki Blog Site!

Welcome to the Emergency 2.0 Wiki Blog Site!

The aim of this site is to provide an information hub for the Emergency 2.0 Wiki project as we journey to turning the vision into a reality! It will provide background information on the project (and the people behind it), future scenarios of what an emergency 2.0 empowered community will look like, frequently asked questions (which we will add to with your feedback),  events we are participating in or hosting and resources to help you write the wiki.

Most importantly, we will keep you up to date on progress with developing the Wiki! This will include announcing when the Wiki is ready for your input and keeping you up to date on which pages are being worked on, and, when pages and sections are completed, calling for you to review and have input! We will also use this blog to recognise and thank those of you who are helping us with the Wiki, as this is a voluntary project, drawing on people from Queensland, Australia and around the world, from all sectors of the community including emergency services, government, community agencies, business, ICT, the voluntary technical community, the education sector, the media and the public!

We will post updates on progress with the Wiki and share key news and developments on the use of social media in emergency management. And we welcome your input and comments!

This site will also link to our social media channels including our Twitter FeedYouTube Channel, SlideShare Channel, and the Wiki and LinkedIn Group (coming soon).
